It's held up well, not only in terms of miles, but duration.

Very nice and the 100*C. viscosity of almost 13 is outstanding for a free-revving engine that can easily shear lesser oils.

I think TBN should also hold good, but you might request from them to to that too, as well as TAN.
Also, this is not surprise. It is not DI engine, it is naturally aspirated engine, so it should be easy on oil. Most of European cars in Europe have OCI 20,000 miles or even more, so 10,000 miles is nothing for that engine and oil.
I am thinking, considering how easy that engine is on oil, I would run GC in it. From my experience, it revs MUCH better then M1, and it is almost 40 weight.

I,too, prefer Castrol synths over Mobil`s. I wonder how Edge 0W40 would do in this engine?

Given that it meets all the same stringent mfg specs, I'd expect it to do just as well.

Considering it comes in a proper jug here (unlike the M1 0w-40) and goes on sale occasionally, it might be worth a try. Then again, even on sale it's got a ways to go before it beats Delvac 1's regular price.

I was wondering what oil filter do you use? Do you stick with the same filter or try different ones?

M1 oil filters. Up until this particular run, I changed them every other OCI. Now that I am going for extended runs, I will probably change them with each oil change. There is a short interval listed on there quite some time ago. For that run, I used KN filter. I prefer the KN during track days just because of the wrench knob. It makes it easier to change quickly on a hot run.

Were the 3 prior runs Mobil 0w40 too? Those look great.

Are you concerned about the thickening this last run?

The last three runs were indeed M1 0W40. I monitor oil pressure and after the oil is at temp, the pressure is within spec. No bypass.
