Folks,

In my 2003 Wrangler, I have been using Motorcraft FL-300 filters. However my local Walmart only has what's left in their inventory right now, which happens to be only Motorcraft FL-1A filters.

Do the FL-300 and FL-1A (both fits my Jeep nicely) have the same bypass valve specs?

Thanks.

I can't say for MC ..but the xref # in Wix are identical for bypass valve specs.

I use the FL300 (or Purolator L14670) on my 4.0 TJ too. You can use the bigger FL1A on the 4.0 without any problems....lots of guys do. I would, but my 97 has a angled oil filter mount and it's a little tight with the bigger filter on it...you guys with the 00 and up 4.0 TJs have tons of room though.
