Months ago I did a drain and pour with Prestone Steering Fluid plus Stop Leak. The level is where it should be for at least a month and have not had to add any. The reason I used "Stop Leak" was that my steering wheel was leaking on the bottom left of the steering wheel.

It was not a drip but just enough to get it on to my fingers and used a paper towel to wipe it off. Since then it no longer leaks and now it makes a noise while I turn the wheel. So if the fluid level is good what would it be?

I'm not sure what liquid was on your steering wheel, but it wasn't power steering fluid.

What does the noise sound like?

HMMM?? Turn signal fluid maybe?

Seriously though - could the liquid have maybe come from a leak in the windshield area? Was it greasy or have a smell??

+1 so did I. If you've got PS fluid leaking from the steering wheel you've got bigger problems then a leak

I was thinking airbag bearings maybe. May want to check the seal.
