I have had my car inspected twice now with the TPMS light on. Not a problem.

I think TPMS has been a bad thing for me personally, in that I've gotten lazy. I had the TPMS sensors mounted in aftermarket wheels with A/S tires. The OE wheels have performance winter tires w/o sensors.

During the three seasons I have the summer tires/sensors on, I find I do not check as often or keep pressures as accurate as I used to - because I consciously or unconsciously find myself relying on the TPMS.
