where do you find cross referance charts for penske filters?
i use oversized filters in all the cars i service at my house so looking it up in the book at the store is of no use to me.
if anyone wants to cross referance for me the numbers are
purolator L40017
purolator L14459
purolator L14620
*sigh* I think this makes about the third time I've posted this link in answer to the question 'who makes Penske and Castrol filters?'. Allied Signal - now Honeywell - likely/probably/supposedly/reportedly manufacture Fram and Penzoil filters; but the Penske's and MaxPro's are a Wix product.quote:

Penske/Castrol/Pennzoil/Fram filters around here are mostly made by Allied Signal and not Wix.
Yep, its still true. Watch out for old inventory being roled out. The most recent Kmart that closed(a year ago) had non-Wix filters.quote:

In the car with oil in it? Or on the shelf? On the shelf I would imagine it would be good for 10 years, on the car, maybe a year or two tops.quote:

Good post Toycor. Brings up a good question. How long is the shelf life of a oil filter?
