Last time at the dealer the advisor suggested 5w-20 but I reminded him the oil cap says 5w-30. I am unsure what they filled it with, the sticker said 5w-20. I think that is the viscosity in newer Hondas/Acuras. I believe the 5w-30 would be the all year best protection what do you guys think?

I believe that engine was backspeced to 5w20. For protection, IMO both will do a grand job at keeping it spinning until the car around it falls apart but your about to get alot of opinions.

5w30 has worked fine thus far, no reason to change

Accord to this chart. 5w-20 is NOT ok to use. I would make sure its 5w-30.

The Application Guide....is over three years old. Possibly it has been backspected since theN ????

Check to see if there is a newer Application Guide.
