Auto RX vs. ATF

Ive heard of people using ATF as an engine cleanser, how would you guys rate it compared to auto rx? also, when using ATF, what is the procedure? would it be the same as auto rx (run for 1500 miles then do a 2000 mile flush)?

I dont trust ATF in an engine, I dont think it can compare to the lubrication abilities of any motor oil and I here it isnt an ashless burning oil.

If you wanna clean out your engine, I would say go the Auto-RX route.

ATF is not an engine cleaner, although many have used it to try and achieve cleaning.
It has dispersants, but little or no detergents.
