Filter Q?

This is by memory, but no. I believe the FL-820S is metric, like a M22 thread vs the 3/4"x16 of the FL-1A. A short version of the FL-1A would be a cross from the Fram PH16 used on a number of Chrysler products. (excuse the Fram number, I have most of those memorized.

The FL-820S is used on the mod motors.

Thanx Racer. I saw a thread somewhere on another site stating they were the same.

I believe the shorter version of the FL-1A was the FL-200S. Other than the length I believe the specs were the same. This filter was cross referenced to the PH-16. The FL-200S was used on my 1996 Zetec 4. It has been discontinued by Ford. Ford says to use the FL-300 as it's substitute. This filter has a nitrile ADBV unlike the FL-200S which had a silicone ADBV.
