Rotated the tires and changed the engine air filter too!
 
1998 Chevy Cavalier with about 105,000 miles on it.

Out: Peak 5W-30, Purolator Classic filter

In: Havoline 5W-30, Super Tech filter I found in my stash

Changing filter in this car is a semi-pain cuz I have to remove front right wheel to get to the oil filter.
 
Friends 01 Saturn LS out: Kendall syn blend and firestone E-core with 7500 miles on it. In: Havoline 5w30 with Napa Silver filter

Out: QS 5-20 and NAPA Pro-Select
In: 5 qt Valvoline Maxlife 5w-20, NAPA Gold filter.

Also did an ATF drain/refill (due per Maint Minder), inspection, tire rotation, coolant replacement, new drive belt, brake flush and new battery.

Always use Motorcraft filters.

comments... either the 7 quart drain pan i have isn't 7 quarts or they overfilled my mom's van at midas... going by the little markings on the inside of the pan not counting what came out of the filter it was probably 6.5 quarts and on top of that the head of her drain plug was rounded off making it not so easy to remove and required me to go get a replacement

i kinda want to call midas and let them know i'm not happy

1998 BMW 328is (M52) @ 118,815 miles

Out: BMW 5w-30 Full Synthetic and OEM Mann filter 5232 miles/10.5 months on oil. It still had 3 bars left, but there were a lot of short trips this winter and some time spent in a body shop (lots of short runs moving it around).

In: 6.7 qts of Mobil 1 0w-40 (SN) and another OEM filter.

Out - PYB 5w-30 SN/GF-5 and Hastings LF240
In - Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 5w-40 CJ-4/SM and Wix 51356

OVERKILL switched to PU, so I did this to restore balance to the oil universe.

I also took the time to cross rotate the tires for maximum tire life.
