Will cracked paint on bumper get worse over time?

My day is ruined, so stressed out and upset but trying to calm myself down. 2hrs ago I was trying to drive up on my ramps but the ramps were too high and cracked the very low part of the front bumper. As you see in the pics. No paint actually came off, when you run your finger over, for the most part its smooth and couple marks where you can feel it with your fingernail. When you look at it, looks like very light key scratches. The scratches doesnt really bother me much cause theyre very light and at the very very bottom of the bumper. These pics I took I had to really get up close and get lighting to pick them up.

It just [censored] me off cause this bumper is 100% mint, no paint chips. Obviously im not going to get it repainted but maybe I could use some Meqguirs Scratch X 2.0 on it?

What i want to know is, will the cracks spread and get worse over time? I went to 2 closeby bodyshops and asked the paint guy and both said it shouldnt and just when I wash the car, spray the pressure washer at an angle. They said it wont rust cause its plastic. Really plastic doesnt rust?

In my experience it will get worse, at least for me it has. Your dad on the other hand might be lucky.

mine has that where people have put their knee on my bumper, just put some wax over it. if you aren't going to paint it there's not a whole lot you can do.just chill out and go have a beer stuff happens. a dd isn't going to stay in mint condition. it just doesn't happen

I have cracked paint on my rear bumper thanks to my neighbor and it has not got any worse. Next time try a peice of 2x6 to graduate to the ramp. I have the same problem with my car hitting the ramps.

Just very upset cause my bumber is 100% in perfect condition, no paint chips and maybe just a couple pen tip size imperfections.

The marks dont bother me cause theyre very light and at the very bottom of the car. You literally have to get on your hands and knees to look at it.

My biggest worry was just that it will get worse over time.

I can throw some wax on it. How bad is yours btw? Compared to mine?

The ramps are no good for me Im selling them.

Pick at the cracks with your fingernail. If you can't make any of the paint start to flake off or otherwise come loose from the bumper, then the cracks will likely stay this way forever. But eventually the edges may become a bit more visible as they collect dirt , and as the edges erode from the sandblasting they'll receive from normal driving.

Mine are as bad if not worse..At least yours are on the lower part. Mine is at the top.

I feel his pain. When I got my first new car, it was a Escort zx2 and someone rear ended me and I flipped. No 420 would have fixed my rage.

Rhino ramps have a better angle. Cars with front air dams need this type of ramp also.

They probably won't get worse. I had someone hit the rear of my car 12 years ago and it was minor like yours. Friend that is driving that car still today - it never got worse.

Relax - try some compound and wax, get her as best as you can and don't think of it anymore. It won't get worse.

Your worried about some spider cracks in a cars bumper? Really? I can think of some good places to stick that car.
