Econo-Matic vs regular quick strut:

Is there any other difference besides the struts used? (Econo-matic has Monro-matic while the premium quick strut has the OESpectrum/Sensatrac)

The price difference between the two is much wider than the difference in price of the Monro-matic and OES bare struts thmemselves.

The Econo-matic is priced like Leacree but at least Monroe is somewhat of a reputable company. Monroe only has one line of strut boots, mounts, springs, etc.

Economatic is probably equal to their "Monroe Matic" line of shocks and struts.Low end.

There is no lifetime warranty on the MonroeMatic or Economatic struts. The OE Spectrum / Sensatrac do have a lifetime warranty.

Sensatrac say OE ride quality and lifetime warranty.

Economy say they are not OE ride quality and very short warranty.

Most people who I have seen commenting on this say avoid economy.

You can still order in time for the 4 for 3 rebate deal. This will lessen the price difference. I just picked up 4 quick struts for the after rebate price of $70 each delivered.

Also, Gabriel have a rebate until Oct 31 also.

In my case they were $100 more after rebate for all 4 shocks.

Econo-matic means they use the cheap blue Monroe-matic struts. Avoid them, they last 30,000 miles at best.
