Try AutoZone.

My local stores in Northern Calif usually have straight 30 Rotella 'hidden' back on the shelf. They are usually in the older 4-qt jugs.


Sometimes you have to ask the manager & they tend to mix the jugs in the display rack.....just further back behind other, newer jugs.

Just my 2 cents, based on shopping experience.

+1 on the Maxlife, I just added some to a diesel and the full synth was diesel rated (CF). The one I used was 10w30 in case that is the only one diesel rated? I don't imagine it will hurt to use some Maxlife or top off with it for a while. I have seen those HM oils work wonders on some cars that were totally shot so it is worth a try in your truck. Just make sure to still have the majority of the oil in it diesel rated.
