I find this two oils 4600 and 4200 very interesting. They are GR III (synthetic technology) with great specifications and approvals.

Here the 4600 specs
Viscosity at +40 °C : 64 mm²/s DIN 51562
Viscosity at +100 °C : 11.6 mm²/s DIN 51562
Viscosity index : 178 DIN ISO 2909
exact HTHS unknow

4600 is recommended also for Acea B3/B4 engines, but do not have A3/B4 explicitly mentioned in the specific paragraph, but only like recommendation...it's strange...

Here 4200 specs:
Viscosity at +40 °C : 70 mm²/s DIN 51562
Viscosity at +100 °C : 12.3 mm²/s DIN 51562
Viscosity index : 175 DIN ISO 2909
exact HTHS unknow

The thing that sounds very strange to me about 4200 is written in the PDF: i read that this is an "ACEA A3-04/B4-04/C3-04", ok...but, immediately after "LIQUI MOLY also recommends this product for vehicles for which the
following specifications are required:
ACEA A5/B5/C2".
Very odd...I know that this A5/B5 (hths < 3.5) is quite different from A3/B4 (hths > 3.5).

In any case they seem excellent oils. Has anyone ever tried them?

yup, use the 4200 in my previous and current FN2 Civic Type R (K20-engine)...

never did an oil analysis but do 7500km OCI's and LOTS of track days.

Engine never skipped a beat.

Liqui Moly is huge amoungst the racers in South Africa.

Data sheet says it's A3/B4 and ESP 5W-30 is C2/C3.

I'm using 4600, but will probably change (due to many short trips) to Synthoil Longtime 0W-30 (fully synthetic).

Viscosity at +40 °C : 52.0 mm²/s DIN 51562
Viscosity at +100 °C : 10.1 mm²/s DIN 51562
Viscosity index : 186.0 DIN 2909

TBN is here 8-9 and the HTHS for the ACEA A3/B4 is >3,5.

My car is KIA Cee'd 1.6 CVVT.

we talked about 0w30 here:

Returning to Top Tec 5w30 series, for short trips you could also consider the lighter Top Tec 4300.
