Krex

Anybody ever hear about an oil supplement called Krex? It contains graphite.

I just wanted to know what people think, so I have give good advice to a neighbor. They used to have (at least in the past) this Krex additive at Saturn dealerships (or at least at a couple of Saturn dealerships).

My guess is that there is no need for this additive, since modern oils nave Moly anyway. And maybe even the Moly would conflict with the graphite.

Personally myself, the only oil additives I believe in are Auto-RX and maybe Neutra in the oil to clean it.

Was discussed a while back. I think someone's Subaru dealer was using it. Bad news.

Jason Troxell, how is it bad? I have a neighbor who has some of this Krex. I don't know where she got it-it is only available from new car dealerships. At Saturn dealerships (at least in the past) it used to be sold. It was recommended by the service advisor. I only used it a couple of times. I don't even know if they sell it anymore at the Saturn dealerships.
