1995 Avenger driven mostly short trips and run hard by a female. Has the 2.0 4 banger. Religous 3month/3k mile changes at the Penzoil quick lube since new. Now at 90k miles it's burning oil!!! Last visit they put in Pennzoil's High Mileage Vehicle oil (10w30) which helped some but it's still using oil. Just wondered if Auto-RX would be worth a shot.

I have exactly the same problem with my 1997 Chevrolet Lumina with 74,000 miles on it. How much oil are you burning?

If it's burning oil becuse of badly worn rings, A-Rx probably won't help much. It doesn't replace metal. If it's using oil because of *stuck* rings, A-Rx may help a *lot*. 90K miles, regular 3K changes w/dino oil, lots of short trips, stuck rings are at the very least a definite possibility. In your position, I'd probably risk the price of a bottle & give it a try. After all, $25 is only a little more than 1 tank of gas for that car, right? Or maybe there's a 2-fer or 3-fer special on now, I dunno. You could check the website. www.auto-rx.com

If the oil burning is caused either by a seal leaking into the engine or by your oil control piston rings stuck in the ring grooves by carbon, there is a very good chance Auto-Rx will be a help, maybe all you need. If the oil burning is caused by worn or damaged parts, nothing in a bottle will help...just keep buying oil. Auto-Rx has a guarantee...check it out.

I have 2 bottles sitting around so I'll give it a try. She uses about a quart every 700 miles or so, give or take a little.
