What a great forum! I found it about a week ago and I've been reading and searching various topics everyday. Pardon all the questions from a new guy and thanks for any help you can render.
I have a 91 Dodge Caravan with the dreaded 4 speed transmission. Most of the guys on the Allpar forum are surprized that I've been able to get 182,000 out of that tranny (problems started about 70K miles ago). I didn't have much to lose so I started experimenting with my own brew of additives, mixed w/ the proper Chrysler ATF. BTW the Chrysler guys tell me to use nothing but ATF but I've been able to eliminate the inability of the tranny to hold a gear going up a long grade and I've been able to get a positive 1-2 shift going up a hill. My current brew is 1/3 ATF, 1/3 Trans-X, and 1/3 Power Punch. The trans isn't leaking so should I keep using the Trans-X? Is there a better alternative to Power Punch?
