Don't buy an out of warranty German car if your not ready to drop $3k a year keeping it up to snuff, or if writing a $5k check for a transmission will kill you.

PPI is the key here, PPI, its not a Honda you have to do your homework.


great point. I spend at least $2,000 a year on my old BMW and had to replace my trany after 207,000 miles. BTW, I bought it 9 yeats ago with 72,000 miles on it and it is my DD. This car is a hobby as well as transportation.

I did go n look at that bmw 525i n saleman didn't want to work with me because of my last name Patel cause he thought I got money so I left. Anyway I find my dream car that I alway wanted. It's 2004 350z 30k miles $7500 (private seller) but it got REBUILT TITLE. This is my 1st time buying rebuilt tilte so what should I do n how much should I offer him? I know for sure if he go to dealearships they will give him $1000-$3000. If he still got it I'm going to take look at the car today.

The question is: why was the title rebuilt? It may sound like a bargain, but sometimes you can step into some serious poo if you're not careful...

How do you know what to pay till you know what you got?
First you need to drive the h#$% out of it. Go on a highway, take it fast. Make sure there are no shakes, that it tracks perfect. If you can't get over 50 without getting sick it's worth nothing
