Hey Everyone,

What oil would you recommend for my 1985 Toyota Celica with a 2.4 liter four cyliner? It has about 135,000 on it, and isn't driven very much. Would a 5-30 be good? 10-30?

Thanks,

Ben

I'd pick a 5-30. A high mileage oil might help with some oil seepage around the valve cover gaskets, main seal... etc if that's an issue.

Thanks guys,

I don't drive it in the winter, these cars start to rust if there is snow in the forcast

I will do an annual oil change, because I think I only put 2,000 miles a year on it.

+1.....Sounds like a plan.........

Toyota probably recommended 10W-30 back in the day, and most gearhead owners probably used 10W-40.
Either would work well for summer use in this engine.
