Those with 150,000 miles or more, check in

2007 Hyundai Sonata 3.3L v6 164k miles with 5w20 supertech oil and mostly fram filters (cartridge type. All dino oil changed at 5k intervals. Wife's daily driver still runs great.

1990 Mitsubishi Montero Sport 4x4, 3.0L v6 5 spd beater and hunting vehicle, 10w30 supertech dino every 6 months or so, 343k miles. Smokes like a freight train. 4wd, heater, and AC still works great ! It is my all time favorite vehicle. Has never let me down.

2004 GMC Sierra - 5.3L V8.

203,000 miles. Mobil 1 5w-30 since the 2nd oil change. Runs just like it did on Day 1. No significant oil consumption - maybe getting close to 1 quart now. It has always been at least 1/2 quart since the beginning. I usually follow the oil-life meter, which is around 3-5K miles in between changes. Also, always used Delco filter.

I'll never put anything else in a vehicle that I want to keep for the long-term.

2002 Expedition will be rolling the 150K mark this week.
1989 Town Car -> 215,000 miles
1987 Mustang GT (engine) -> 210,000 miles
2000 BMW 328i -> 160,313 miles

I currently have 197,000 miles on my 01 F150 with the 5.4. It still runs like a top and doesn't leak or burn a drop!! Current fill is Pennzoil Platinum 5W30 and it loves it, nearly silenced all of the startup rattle that these motors are notorius for.

The Jeep thats in my Sig. Run mostly on Pennzoil dino products with a few NextGen products thrown in with Mopar oil & air filters. Started to use HM oil to dry up the weep from the rear main. Other then that, the Jeep 4.0 doesn't use or burn a drop of oil.

2001 Ford Focus ZX3 Zetec,
Just passed the 196,428K mile mark.
Runs great and fill hole is clean as a whistle.
PP 5W-30 in it right now.

Ok! I might as well throw mine into the mix:
97 Park. Ave. with 188,000 plus miles on the 3800 engine and runs great. Mostly ran on Valvoline and Havoline but now on QSGB.
02 Impala,(son's car), with 186,000 plus miles on that 3800 engine and he ran Havoline in it, but now has Mobil 5000 in it.

1999 Ford Mustang GT 4.6L Chrome Yellow, 308,143 miles as of 1/17/2012.

I ran almost exclusively Castrol GTX 5w30 with Fram Extra Guard (OCOD) for a few years, then switched to Motorcraft FL820S or Purolator filters. Oil was changed about 6,000-7,000 on average. Obviously the Fram filters did not cause any problems, I just didn't like the startup noise after about 5,000 miles because the ADBV doesn't last.

It's semi-retired now and only goes about 2,000-3,000 miles per year.

1995 Chevy 1500. 4.3L automatic. Since it had 130k miles on it, it got Castrol GTX with either a Bosch Premium or AC Delco filter every 3000 miles. Sold it with 207k miles. Ran perfectly. Never used any oil.

Currently 2004 Chevy Colorado 3.5L 5-speed. Got it with 135k miles and just crossed the 150k mark. Same regimen, GTX & Bosch/AC Delco every 3000 miles, give or take. Juuuust started to use about quart between changes. Still runs perfectly.

1984 Dodge Caravan 2.6L. Mitsubishi engine, Bought with 140K. miles now 442K miles, Mobil 1 5W50 since we have it, M1 10W40 HM before last OCI and Amsoil ACD last OCI; M1 filters all the time. Engine runs good and burning less and less oil from valve seals leak since Amsoil, I will replace them soon. Sold a 1978 Dodge Aspen with 256K miles bought with 120K miles ran with M1 5w50 since we got it M1 filters too.
George.

Just traded a 1997 Town Car w/ 232,000 miles because it was going to need it's first front end suspension repair and new tires-more than the car was worth. Except for tires, batteries, oil, etc the only real repairs I made to the car was an AC switch, a window regulator and a replacement of the composite intake manifold. Definately the most reliable and lowest cost car I have ever had. It used no oil, and was on a 7500 mile Mobil-1 oil change schedule since I pruchased it used w/ 66K miles on it. Hope the 2004 Town car I traded for is at least half as good.

My first car was a 1991 BMW 525i. When I sold it, it had gone over 300,000 miles without anything more than a head gasket replacement. My next BMW, a 91 318iS, was sold with 220K on the clock. Both cars running great.
