Just bought an '02 Chevy Silverado, I was wondering if I could use Transynd in this 4L60E tranny. I had got some for my buddy and he never used it, so 4 gallons just sitting in my garage. I plan on using the flush machine at our shop.

Yes you can use TranSynd in your 4L60E. TranSynd is basically a synthetic DEXRON III(although DEX III is no longer licensed by GM). The early 4L60e transmissions were spec'd for DEXRON III and later went to DEXRON VI when that became GM's latest and only licensed ATF.

TranSynd is a very heavy duty ATF(why its used in allsions), but GM would never endorse its use in something like your transmission for obvious monetary loss.

I think it is one of the best fluids for your transmission. I did a cooler line exchange in my 2003 Silverado at 25K miles, almost 12 quarts. It ia shifting good, maybe a bit better than on the factory fill. The increase in service interval for TES 295 fluids over DEX III is impressive according to Allison charts.
