In my 17 years of driving I've owned the following:

1) 1993 Geo Metro
2) 1990 Chevrolet Cavalier
3) 1986 Toyota Celica GTS
4) 1987 Saab 900s
5) 1990 Nissan Stanza
6) 1996 Nissan 200sx SE-R
7) 2001 Isuzu Trooper
8) 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix
9) 2003 Mercedes Benz E500
10) 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
11) 2008 Toyota Camry
12) 2011 Volkswagen Jetta

And the sad part is I've got no idea what oil I used in any of these cars before the 2001 Isuzu Trooper - what a POS and the reason I discovered BITOG to help with the oil consumption it had.

Unless I had a senior moment this should be all of them...

66 Ford Mustang (straight six, 3 speed, factory air - slowest mustang ever)
88 Mercury Tracer (had an automatic and bought from rental car place when I had knee surgery and couldn't drive a stick)
82 Volvo 240 (after the jelly bean tracer washed away in a flood)
89 Dodge Caravan (bought from my dad's work, turned out to be a good car)
94 Olds 88 (first new car)
86 Saab 9000 Turbo (gave my wife the olds and got this from a ministry I worked for, never should have sold it - especially cheap - but couldn't afford to rehab it)
2000 Chevy Malibu (good basic transport)
2003 Merc C320 (beautiful but a LEMON - gear shift assembly came off in my hand first morning I drove it - sold after 8 months but should have looked at lemon laws more before I did)
2004 Subaru Forrester XT (nice but boring even with the turbo)
2005 Mini Cooper S convertible (my reward for going in the Army - another one I never should have sold)
2010 Lexus IS 350 C (beautiful - ultrasonic blue mica, reliable, and remarkably soul-less)
1994 Jag XJS 4.0L convertible (my dave ramsey beater and current automotive love)

that should be it.

I started driving in 1975.

Cars I've bought, including cars purchased for my wife and kids, are:

1 Honda
1 VW
1 Suzuki
2 Chevrolet
4 Fords
4 Jaguars
5 Pontiacs

My wife came with a couple of cars, so I have some cars in storage that are not on this list, but I didn't buy them.

I guess it's easy enough to glean my preferred brands from that list. I will never own a Honda again, and I doubt I would buy another VW.

Definitely! And for the last couple of years I owned that Mustang, I also had a 95 Trans Am that I bought new and it also had t-roofs. I got rid of both the Mustang and the Trans Am so that I could order a 98 Firebird Formula and I wanted to keep the car low cost (and lightweight) so I didn't order too many options, but I just had to order the t-roofs though! (even though that added 12 pounds of weight, it was worth it!)
