Very nice indeed. And very typical of a Dmax (regardless of what oil is in it).

I presume you changed the oil, or is it still in there? That could have gone a lot further.
 
Sorry I should have mentioned that I did not change the oil yet. Plan to run it up to 8k and resample to see how it's trending.

Good to hear! THAT is the proper use of syns and UOAs. Test and use, test and use, test and use, ...

Good design of the mechanical and lube systems. Sometimes, the engineers just get it "right" from the get-go. Right balance of loads, bearing design, journal sizes, oil pressures and flow, filtration, etc, etc.

Doesn't seem to matter what you put in a Dmax; they just wear well. (presumption of HDEO lube within OEM specs).
