Tokyo Roki

A buddy selling his subaru gave me a few OEM WRX/STi filters. Any tech on the performance of these filters? I typically just use Purolators and Green GC.

Sorry I am an idiot. The filter is black and made by Tokyo Roki, Subaru part 15208AA100.

Looks to be of good quality,

Toko Roki is the Japanese supplier for Honda as well as Subaru.
Good quality, no reason not to use them.

They make Mazda, Subaru, and Honda filters - in Honda they're the high-performance filters currently, with the standard passenger car filters made by other companies.

I don't like reviving threads, but for those researching this oil filter through a search or something of that nature, here's some clarification...

Regarding the black 15208AA100 Subaru Tokyo Roki oil filters...

Proof that the 15208AA100 black Subaru oil filters are made by Tokyo Roki, NOT Toyo Roki (that makes the Honda oil filters)

FWIW: Toyo Roki has changed it's name to: ROKI Co., Ltd.

that might help with the confusion between the two filter makers.

Tokyo Roki is the smaller company.

Excellently constructed filters. You won't find any better spec'd for the subaru EJ25.
