Drive in punjab.it is dirt roads at very high altitude.

At 5000km, either oil will very easily deal with the conditions. Use the least expensive one you can get.

As far as weight, I would do the lighter one in winter and the heavier one in summer especially if you are in a low spot with 40 or more degree Centigrade weather. But I am not familiar with diesel mixtures so you need to get the imput from other guys here about your diesel truck. If both engines have the right additives for your diesel engine I'd do the winter-summer thing as described. How cold does it get around there?

Apreciado Cristóbal: Greetings, my friend! If you go to "Bob's Lessons"--as I call them!--you'll see that higher outside temps do not call for a thicker (i.e. more viscosity) oil. The main consideration is how well it flows through the minute engine passages in order to dissipate heat more efficiently, and not just to lubricate the moving parts, which lower- viscosity oils do just as well as higher-viscosity ones.
(Bob: if you read this, correct me if I'm wrong, please!)
