What schedule do you lube fittings?

I am on a 4-5k front end for my e-150 - amsoil glccr. Tractors and golf course equipement every 8hrs.-amsoil glccr. Rollers on mowers every 8hrs.-amsoil gwrcr (water resistant).

What does the manufacture recomend? 4-5 K sounds excessive for most vehicles I've owned like Jeeps.

Depends on use - My 4 Runner recommends every 15K or something...but since I am under it changing the oil anyway, I make it every 5K.

But dunk it in water (getting driveshafts in water driving throught streams, etc. while 4 wheeling) and the recommendation is to grease DAILY....and I do if it's been in deep water...

There was a time that you'd grease at EVERY oil change, and was called that:
lube and chassis,
lube and grease,
lube(as in chassis) oil and filter,....
grease 'n oil,
grease oil n' filter

For other equipment, you set the time usage interval by looking at what is going on and amount of usage.
