For my rubber sway bar bushings, I've been concerned about using the proper rubber-safe lube to keep my bushings in good shape. So far, I've been using Silglyde, by recommendation of this board. It seems to work well, but others have suggested powedered graphite as well.

Anyone use powdered graphite in this kind of application? Do you think it would resist water washout/last longer than the Silglyde?

I have a bag of powdered graphite, should I be a Guinea pig, but NOT until spring time..
But, to be most effective, stick with silicone spray and paste..
I do not know if this works on the CV joint boots, I think these are polyurethane, and they last a long time..

Since you mentioned Silglyde, is there any stores that carry it in the tubes besides NAPA? I never seem to be able to find it anymore.
