Has anyone heard of Chevron Black Pearl grease. I am curious as to how good it is. I would be using it for chassis lube and wheel bearings. Thanks for any information.

It is an excellent grease. Since is is Group II polyurea, it is not very compatible with normal greases, but if it is not mixed with others it reduces temperatures and gives extended life.

I think you would be better off with a aluminum complex or lithium grease. I don't think polyurea grease is very water resistant and as mentioned before it not compatable with other greases.

I run it exclusively in my equipment and it seems to give good service. I use it mostly becuase the previous facility manager ran SRI in everything, including the wrong applications so I had to find a compatable grease. one benefit is that it doesn't drip out and get stuff greasy, it dries up when exposed to the atmosphere. I maintain wood working equipment and getting grease/oil on wood is not desireable.
