So I got myself some Amsoil grease...it this the right one?

I picked it up at the local Peavy mart with the grease gun, rubber flex hose, and needle injector piece.

I think I can trust this stuff in my applications (tie rod ends, ball joints, u joints, etc)

One more thing, I have a tear in one of either of my ball joints. They are both the sealed type that I was planning on using the injector fitting with. Is there some way I can fix or replace the protective boot so I can seal the joints again?

That grease will work just fine and is very resistant to washout. It is also an excellent high temp, wheel bearing grease. The Amsoil HD grease with moly can also be used for chassis applications and has even higher load bearing capabilities.
