New Vehicle, new oil?

I recently ditched my beloved 97 f150 and just picked up an 08 F150/5.4L with 80K. The truck is immaculate with a steady paper trail of dealer service.....im assuming the Motorcraft 5w20 blend. Question is, I want to run PU like I do with my other car. Should i make the switch, or continue with the blend? Other oil suggestions?

(not used for towing or plowing)

Take your pick. Ultra is top notch for longer OCI. If you want 5-6K OCI, go with M/C blend. Both are great oils.

I would use the Motorcraft syn blend at the recommended intervals or follow the OLM if it has one. You could do PU, but the only tangible benefit is an extended drain interval. If PU is twice as much as the Motorcraft blend, double the OCI!
