I tried it - didn't care for it.

I have about 7/8ths of a 10 year old bottle left if anybody wants it.

I'll take it. I use with ground corn cob blasting media in my tumbler to polish handgun and rifle brass. Makes those cases shine like new.

You guys do realize, that the shine you get from a wax or sealant has very little to do with the product you used, but rather the condition of the paint. If you want your paint to shine, then spend the time to use a paint cleaner and a polish to remove embedded dirt and swirls.

Agreed....but obviously the type of wax one has used has to be of benefit for the vehicle to have a shine in the first place.

I have never used a polish on my truck....paint, 14yrs later still looks show-room new, and my truck sits outside 365 days a year and visits numerous offroad adventure expeditions.

Showroom new after 14 years of sitting outside and never been polished. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK

BTW, I've got a bridge for sale in NY, if you're interested. PM me, we'll discuss the price, payment terms, and other legal arangements, all over a glass of Kool-Aid.

When you're done with him, I have some stuff I'd like to sell too!

As stated....I've used WAX; never used an actual Polish.

Pics are on previous page if you don't believe me.

You can't sell that bridge its mine!

All kidding aside, I've seen some nice finishes on cars that were only done with a good cleaner wax, no polish or clay. But if you are a car buff and look close you can tell they could have been better, but they still looked better than the average car. JMO

Ah Shucks, the guy I bought it from even gave me a REAL DEED to that bridge. See you in court!

Seriously, I've got a 2001 Fd. Escort (red) that I keep waxed and looks real good, but showroom new? Nope.

Maybe we can settle out of court on that bridge?

Unless you garage a car, and stay on top of it, showroom new is almost impossible for a daily driver after a short stay in the elements. It is a term used loosely, like mint condition, which BTW I use to describe my 88 E-150. That statement would be inaccurate to any true car buff, excellent condition would be more accurate. Very few daily drivers are truly mint! JMO

Ya don't say!

Now about that court date............................................................................................

I had no idea Zaino made a wax, can anyone provide a link? I only know about their sealants which last up to 12 months provided the paint is prepared correctly. Thats what it comes down to for durability and appearence regardless of LSP.

A wax is just an organic sealant that doesn't last very long.

The terms wax and polish are so misused that you need to drill down to specific detail or know the what product the person is talking about to determine what it actually is.

Don't know....I have pic's from the first day I bought the truck to now....I don't notice a difference.

Very few daily drivers are truly mint, I agree, but not every owner of a daily driving vehicle is as OCD as I am about maintenance/physical appearance of a vehicle either.

This truck doesn't fit in a garage; 1st pic is last spring; 2 pic is 3yrs ago...truck looks the same as of now.

Your truck is in great shape, there is no denying it, as is my 88 E-150. Mint/showroom condition is as it was when new, a flawless finish, no blems of any kind. A term often misused. I'm sure the finish was better when it was new.

Please don't feel I'm insulting you that truck is in fine shape and will fetch more $$ if/when you decide to sell it!

Thank you....don't feel insulted in the slightest...get a lot of comments on how pretty it still looks for it's age.

As for selling it???....not a chance

It doesn't look it, but this truck is actually fun to drive, goes anywhere, perfect size for the in between needs and runs real good and strong for 200k.

I still average 18-19mpg city and 22-24 highway - not the greatest, but it's long paid for and cheaper to run then a newer vehicle...it'll stay here till it rots.
