Mine is a 4 to 5 year old reman from Pep BOys. I cannot remember exactly.
It is Leaking where it attaches to the booster.
I am not looking to save money this time. I want the best new Master Cylinder I can find. Not remanufactured. Remans are not really cheaper and I don't want to have to deal with a core charge. I realize they MIGHT be just as good as new.
I have found the following choices in my application.
Cardone select.
Centric
Raybestos
Wagner
Dorman
Bendix
Brake Best Hardware
Fenco
Kelsey-Hayes
Napa(which I think is made by Dorman for my model)
Prices range from 13$ to 46$
Is it safe to assume that since they all have a 1 1/8 bore, the new performance will be equal and the differences will be longevity?
Because My brakes stink, and the only thing that has made any improvement is more aggressive front pads anf that was not much. Everything else has been replaced and made no difference. This will be my 4th MC on this vehicle in 9 years.
Any recommendations on brands to buy, ones to avoid?
Thanks
