I tossed a bottle of Techron into 12 gallons of gas just as I was leaving town to see the folks. The car ran fine (idle, throttle response), but had a noticeable loss in power, and my mileage took a major dump (12-15%). I filled the tank back up when I got to my destination, and things seemed to improve a bit. I then did a 60K service on the car (Pops has lots of good tools) including plugs and oil. The plugs looked okay, though two definitely were in need of replacement due to "worn" electrodes.
The trip back was slightly better, but the car still struggled on hills. I'm empty again and will see what another fill-up does for me. But, any reason the fuel additive would cause these issues?
