Hello there!
I am brand new here and not sure that I am posting to the right place but this is the thread with C-12 engine.
Sorry if I am doing it wrong.
I am running amsoil 15-40 full synthetic for the last 5 years and this will be the first time I will extend the drain period to this length. I never had the balls to do it but the lab-tech guy says the oil is suitable for continued use. I have changed the oil Oct-1-2009 and I have 65K miles on it since.
Here is the last data:
iron, 111
chromium, 1
nickel, 0
aluminum, 2
copper, 4
led, 1
tin, 0
cadmium, 0
silver, 0
vanadium, 0
silicon, 5
sodium, 7
potasium, 0
titanium, 0
moly, 0
antimony, 0
magnese, 0
litium, 0
boron, 1
magnesium, 10
calcium, 3887

zinc, 1447
fuel, soot, 0.3%
water, visc 100c, 14.9
TBN, 5.86
oxida, 40

I am repleacing the filters by OEM recommendations and top of levels about 1 gallon per 5K miles
This C-12 is in a international 9200 highway tractor.
Mostly around 40K-80K Gross weight and 6.7 - 7.2 MPG
What you guys think?
Should I keep running the oil like the tech says?

Thank you,

HeyPablo.

That oil sample was taken at 55K miles since last oil change. Total miles on truck is 1.1Million. I put another 10K miles since last oil sample.
