Republic Ensign Help

And no, these are not for me....

Anyways, a coworker has a 99 Stratus he just put these ensigns put on. Tires are doing fine, but one. Everything from not holding air to looking pretty rough. Tire place he bought it from wants nothing to do with the tire.


My question is-who makes this tire? I always thought that it was a private label goodyear tire (like KellY), but I was also told that it was bought by Hallmark...My gut tells me GY, sign it looks pretty much like the Kelly Explorer Plus.

If it is, I might be able to give him a hand......

Appears to be Goodyear.

I'm guessing for not too much longer.


I called around to help him out with the tire. I was able to get him a nice replacement for him.


Looks like all the local places are getting rid of republic (lots of deals, I noticed)


Rumor I heard was that Republic is done, and Goodyear is just going to stick with Kelly and Dunlop, and basically get out of the Cheapie market.
