I have about 3 quarts of Warren non-detergent, straight 30 motor oil that I grabbed 2 months ago at local stop and rob. I needed some oil for the oil-can to lube my drill bits when drilling aluminum and steel bar stock. It was less than $.89 a quart. I also use it to put a rust proofing coat on tools and what not. Now the store sells some crud called "costal" but at least it has the API starburst and is SL.

Have a laugh..... Dave

What else can I use this stuff for? Oiling door hinges?

So, basically, this stuff is no good for any modern engine. I think I will just use it for drill press lube and what not. I don't think I would even use it in my old lawn mower, however, those B&S engines are pretty tough. :)

It would be fine in a lawnmower. Yes, those B&S engines are tough!

Ah Ha! Did not think about the General pump in my pressure washer. It does spec non-detergent oil. I have always used the General oil. This stuff is cheaper. Thanks....

Really don't use it in a lawnmower. There are too many other uses that would be good. Use it as bar oil, general lubricant, rust protectant, drilling lube, or pretty much anything else, but don't put that stuff in an engine.

That was many, many years ago. I've used nothing in my OPE but synthetic oil in the last 30 years. I usually use M1 5W or 10W30, and Briggs and Stratton have recommended 5W30 synthetic as their number one choice for several years, in all temperature ranges.
