Yes it is expensive oil.But I can run this oil easily one year/15000kms. Seen a UOA in diesel section and it was really good.
Currently running mobil1 0w-40 and I will do a UOA soon. Will see which oil is better.

I had Fuchs Australia email their product data sheet for this oil and it states its dedicated for VW and Audi particulate filtered engines. Clearly states not recommended for others.

Fuchs said it is the replacement for their 5W30 MB oil.

I have just noticed Australia product data slightly different from the one on the OPIE UK website where it is rated SJ, this is not mentioned on the Australian data sheet.

Doc Haas, I'm sure would approve he is a fan of lower vicosity oils.

As far as I recall, the VW spec for filter equipped engines is VW507: the 506.01 is several years old, predating the introduction of particulate filters. Have they sent the correct data? I spoke to Opie oils and double checked with Fuchs in Stoke re my application - Honda 2.0litre gas engine, for which the 0w/30 is OK.
