What is the general opinion of Quaker State Full Synthetic 5w-30? I just bought some for my wife's Subaru Tribeca. Walmart sells it for $20 a jug and I noticed there is a $10 mail in rebate from Quaker States website. $10 net is hard to beat. Decent synthetic?

If youre running regular OCI's or slightly extending them, IMO Quaker state is a great oil all around.

Their synthetic is quite good, especially for the price! Most on here will probably agree.

Excellent oil.

As good as anything OTC.

Use it with no concerns in your Subaru.

Take care, Bill

I'm using it in my mom's Malibu (in 5W-30) and it's working just fine. Still has the same old piston slap, sounds exactly the same as any other oil I've tried in it. I'll be getting a UOA on it when it's due for an oil change this spring.

I tried this excellent oil once in my o1'Durango V-8 and found it be one of my better surprised/second option snthetics to use If my usual Mobil 1 became too expensive. During it's usage I found it not to give me that sometimes called "lifter tic" in the early mornings although my truck/car is garaged compared to M1.

QS synthetic is a great oil. I'm thinking in 3800 miles when my fill of Kendall is done I'm going to run it exclusively in my mini fleet. My early 90s Ariens snow thrower loves the stuff. The engine is nice and quiet and smooth. SOUPUS products are top notch IMO.
