Xbox 360 - 2 consoles in house - only 1 live acct

we have 2 xbox 360 consoles in the house: 1 in basement for the kids, and I put the older xbox360 upstairs just to stream netflix. so.... I dont intend to use both simultaneously, but I cant use the same xbox live account on both consoles without "recovering gamertag" each time I switch, which is tedious. or can I???

You'd have to purchase a memory unit and transfer your profile to that, it would be much quicker than recovering your gamertag every time.
