Lookung for a good grease for the gear housing in my old 120 volt drill.

This old drill has an aluminum housing so there is no plastic to worry about. There are ball and small needle bearings and straight cut gears in the housing.

The last grease I used was some old Amsoil purple that stayed in the bearings well but clumped up around the gears. I have no idea if the straight cut gears are burning the grease or if the grease broke down from old age?

every one of those that I have opened - the grease does seem to be hard and mostly away from the gears. I would use whatever light grease (lithium) or bearing grease you have around
