It'll work but I prefer gear lube in the tranny...the Amsoil 75w90 or 110 is fine or the 140 is said to quiet the whine of 5th gear in the 6 speeds. I used the 80w90 in my '97 with excellent results. For the primary, I used the Amsoil 10w40...that is if you want to stick with Amsoil in all three holes, if not, then any 10w40, 15w40 or even ATF (I'm presently using type F) will work just fine in the primary as would the Amsoil ATF. I switched off Amsoil when my yearly mileage dropped to 5K or less a year because it was no longer cost effective, however, if I ran a twin cam engine I'd still use the Amsoil engine oil.
