any ratchet on sale ?

I usually have a craftman ratchet, until some how I lost it, some one borrow it and never return, I dont know, but I really need a good 1/4 ratchet, any one know any sell going on right now ? thanks

Sears always has some deals going on - mostly includes sockets you may not need, though.

I would check eBay. I'd recommend either a Snap-On T72 (standard handle) or a TL72 (long handle).

For the average joe who might use a 1/4 rachet 5-10 times/yr, I think Craftsman would be fine. They have one as low as $10.

I disagree. A quality fine tooth ratchet will allow you to perform the job more easily in tight spots. It is worth the additional money to purchase a product that will do the job well and last you many years before needing a rebuild.

OK -- you have that right. For me, I probably use a 1/4 ratchet 1-2 times/yr. I do all my own maintenance, car audio, etc. Typically, if it's 1/4", I use a driver instead of a ratchet. For this reason, I personally would never spend $50 on such a tool. This is my own personal reason. My $10 Craftsman has lasted 15+ years now, and still looks new. If I were a mechanic, and used this tool daily or weekly, I would probably feel different.
