Hey,

Does anyone know if there was a photo posted somewhere on BITOG of what the server looks like?

Just curious...

I have sent a PM to Helen to ask if she has a picture... Would be cool to see no?

I'm sure Helen will gladly drive over to BITOG HQ, run downstairs and snap some pics inside the server room for you.

Oh wow... I didn't know that it would be that big!

Would be neat to see though... Guess I'm just a geek and I want to know where my packets of data are going!

Lots of servers in the concrete trunks of the principality of Sealand. Might be there.

Isn't that cool that the Phrase "Debugging" came from? I learned that in my Computer Sciences class in College.

Actually, as soon as I hit the Submit button it came back to me that TPB moved all of their servers (or were intending to) to Egypt somewhere, out in the middle of nowhere, to avoid some Swedish legal trouble. I even recall there being some sort of taunting graphic on their home page for a while; an illustration depicting themselves in the middle of the desert, with a note to the Swedish authorities nearby.

I may have just dreamt that, or grossly misinterpreted, as the TPB Wikipedia entry says "The Pirate Bay has servers in both Belgium and Russia which may be used in the future in case of another raid."
