I don't think anyone has conclusively answered this question...

Basically it is the PEA detergents that make Techron additives the best, as they are the most effective at reducing carbon deposits and varnish in the intake system and injectors.

Anyone conclusively know this?

No, it does not. It does contain Shell's V-Power additive that may use some of the same chemistry as Techron, but Shell does not use Chevron additives in their gasoline.

Does Shell use PEA ( Polyester Amine) in their gas as an additive? Chemists agree that this gas detergent is the most effective that can be used to eliminate carbon deposits.

Thanks for the reply.

I would like to get an offical reply from Shell but wouldn't know where to start to actually inquire.
