what oil to put in my mercedes benz b200 turbo

I recenty bought a used 2006 mercedes benz b200 turbo
It has a 2.0 turbo with a 7speed CVT

I want to do my own oil changes and no where in the user manual does it state oil type

I use GC 0w30 for my nissan 350z and I think it has the MB spec on it. I was thinking to use GC in the b200t.

anyone in know what grade oil to use?

why MB so top secret with their info?

Is there a local dealer you can call? Here in the states they would probably tell you to use Mobil 1 0W-40 but I see no reason the Castrol GC 0W-30 would not work.

MBUSA recommends these oils. I am using PP 5W20 in E430 right now in place of M1 0W40 and found the engine runs smoother and gas mileage improved from about 18 MPG to 19 MPG for 80-90% city driving. Next oil change will be M1 0W20.

I'd run either Mobil 1 0w-40 or Pennzoil Platinum 10w-30.

I would say any would be a good choice 0w40,0w30 M1 or the GC,not
sure if i'd go 20w with a turbo heating things up more then normal.

I'd go with Pennzoil Platinum 5w30, running it in our 2.3L turbo and its awesome!
