Mobil TDT 6400 miles 07 D-Max Oxidation ????

07 D-Max 18000 miles on unit 6400 miles on oil

Oil was in use from early December 1 to May 1. First sample from this engine. I did 2 early runs of Delo 15w40 and then went with TDT and a Wix filter.

They are talking about products of oxidation reactions. The oil had a lot of life left IMO. Soot is low, wear if fine, the viscosity is not elevated (which happens when soot and oxidation get too high). I'm sure the TBN is still healthy.

"0.22" means nothing unless they ran a virgin oil of the same batch at the time.
