This is my first OA. I had Motorcraft 15W/40 syn. and changed to Amsoil AME 15W/40 w/EaO filter. I added 12oz Torco MPZ and 12oz Torco EAL to the 15qts of oil. 75% of the 10,900mi. OCI was towing 6000# TT. Following is Blackstone analysis:

7.3L Powerstroke Diesel 2003, Oil Amsoil AME 15W/40, OCI 10900

Comments; Copper and lead both read on the high side and we aren't sure why. We aren't familiar with either of the additives
you mentioned, so that could contain copper and/or lead. If you have used any Engine Restore in the past that would explain it. They could also be a turbo or bearing issue, but that would be unusual for this type of engine. Universal averages show typical wear from the 7.3L PSD after~5,200 miles use on the oil. Iron was high, but this is due to the longer oil run. The TBN was still okay at 5.6. 1.0 is low. Check back in 7,500 miles next time due to wear.

I'd stay away from the additives; skews the UOA results, as likely evidenced here. Doesn't mean your engine got hurt; it's just mis-leading in a UOA.

Overall, this engine will likely respond well to the "normal" use of Amsoil. I suggest O/FCI and another 10k run. It might still take an OCI or two to get the additive remnants out.
