I came across a 5 gallon container of a texaco product I believe with the label saying URSA Super Plus SAE 15W40. Any body have any idea what this is? Doing a quick google search it appears to be a diesel oil like rotella, mobil and chevron. I plan on sending in a sample to blackstone for virgin analysis and if it comes back as a decent oil I will run it in my bikes.

If it is a Chevron Texaco product it probably is pretty good- post your results from your VOA and let us know if it has moly...

Lower-tier (competitively priced) diesel Chevron oil - as opposed to their premium (higher performance) Delo 400 line

It used to be their standard group I oil. Last I checked Chevron was running Delo 400 as their top line, Texaco TDX or something like that as a second line (partial group II) RPM as a 3rd line product, and Usra Super Plus as an economy product.

I have sent in the sample will let you know. I got it free so I figured I would at least run it in my dirtbike

Virgin oil analysis has been posted in the VOA forum for the Ursa 15W40.

I assume since there is no moly since none was listed in the table

My 2000 1500cc Classic FI has had Rotella T 5w40 since the first oil change. Would only consider HD synthetic oil you are also lubeing the transmission with the motor oil. Most Honda web sites also promote Rotella use. Only 16.?? gallon @ WM. You do like the ROCKETS!!

I have some Brad Penn 20/50, val synpower 20/50, mobil delvac 1300 15/40, delo 400 15/40, rotella 5&15/40, and exxon superflo 20/50. So I do hae options, will more than likely stick with rotella when all this is gone, but will probably be several years since I have quite a bit
