"Gopher" Fire Dept. service with about 12 different drivers, lots of short trips and extensive idling-took over 6 mo for these miles to accumulate. Very happy with these numbers because I've seen how this truck is used!

Visc. has always been reduced to a 30 wt. by this mileage, with two different oils, without fuel present and any apparent negative impact on wear.

visc. seems very low for a 6.0 with that many miles but you would need to know the hours becasue of idle time.

wear looks pretty good but the new rotellsa T has been turning in much better #'s. i personally think you went a bit too long at cSt@100 under 11. maybe try a diff oil like castrol or motorcraft to see if it shears less. mobil 1300 and rotellsa are not the most shear stable dino's in the 6.0.
