"readily available" - not really, only M1 0W40 around here (Detroit).
Never seen Castrol SLX anywhere and it's not on Castrol's website. I don't think that's right.

I have to see how much the longlife is going for. In Germany the Aral Longlife III was 30 EU, so getting something like it here for $6 is certainly a bargain.
Anybody know why the Euros are paying that much more? I would think taxes.

Not all engine oil costs that much there, so it can't be due to tax.

I just googled the price of Aral LongLife II and one liter costs € 9,90 and not € 30. That's $14.25.
Is that plus VAT?
