ZZ Top bassist Dusty Hill, who played with the Texas trio from the Seventies through their most recent albums and tours, has died at age 72.

. ZZ Top " Tush " may have been the first 45 I bought . The other side is " Blue Jean Blues " . Still have it . It's likey to be in rough shape due to many times of playing . Records were played on an Montgomery Ward (or was it Sears ) turntable ( record changer ) and amp . The turntable / amp and shelf speaker boxes were made of black plastic . Was 15 or 16 at that time .

Agreed. I was in New Orleans several years ago and passed on the chance to see Fats Domino because I thought "I'll catch him the next time I'm in town." Then he quit performing not long after that. I happened to be in New Orleans the day he died. I was eating a shrimp Po Boy at restaurant not far from where he lived when it came on the TV. That weekend all the bands in every club I went to were playing his songs in tribute.

Saw them most recently on their 50th Anniversary tour in Tallahassee, 2019 (not my video)
